tracinng From Theory to Implementation is a really amazing book on this subject so amazing the authors got an academy award for itit is a bit more complex though. I will also keep the list updated. A K Peters, Limited Abingdon: When I approached this project, I had fom knowledge of ray tracing and I found “From the Ground Up” a mis-leading title for the book because it starts with a pretty complicated pre-made OOP heavy framework with a basic UI etc which while nice, isn’t ideal if you want to learn the basic froj of the ray tracing technique.
