Everything else was fluff. This book was recommended by one of the male speakers at the Texas Package Store Association for liquor store owners in the state of Texas.
Chapter 6 had some great things on HOW business specifically targeted women. They should have more chapters like Chapter 6. Pretty much, find out how a woman would buy stuff based on her needs or family’s needs or her point of view.
Duh, that’s common sense for any target demographic. Summary, guys are technical when they buy stuff and women not so much. If you’re a guy and you think you control the bucks in your houseguess again fellas! If you’re a small business person and want to understand the buying publicread Bridget’s book.

This book was a page turner, fun to read and insightful. I think we, men of course, all think we know the best thing to do but deep down we all look for a woman’s opinion and I am learning more and more we need to look more. Bridget addresses that from the off and then gives many examples of why.
Taking her approach will be something I will try to implement as the formula works for me and I recommend that if you have products reaching out to the women of the world, you read it too. What I liked most was that Bridget constantly made references to women which aligned perfectly to my wife and how she shops. Looking at it from the company that offers perspective, made me realise what worked and what did not with my wife.
So many of the examples where they got it right, my wife shops at and none of these companies take her for granted as she will not stop until she knows she is getting value.
This book arrived on time and was exactly what I was looking for! I just saw the author, Bridget Brennan, speak at a conference and she was phenomenal. This book is a breath of fresh air because it’s so practical and entertaining compared to other business books. It’s ideal for anyone in sales. I loved it and highly recommend. Nothing could be further than the truth! I’ve struggled for five years trying to figure out how to sell and market to the mom market. There are so many wonderful insights and practical strategies you can use in this book. Bridget Brennan is real, unafraid to tell it like it is.
She gives great examples of companies that are missing the mark, and wonderful case studies on companies that are doing a phenomenal job marketing and selling to women.
You may think you should just make a pink version of your product, but it is so much deeper than that. Women are complex; believe me, I am one of them. But one thing is for sure. Once you figure out how to appeal to the female market, you will have them on fire for your product or service. If your product targets a women audience, or you want it to, you have to read this book first.
